IBIFDD Visits Sri Lanka to Deepen Strategic Cooperation and Co-create a New Blueprint for China-Sri Lanka Industrial Collaboration
To deeply implement the national "Belt and Road" initiative and actively respond to the call for coordinated development of cross-border industrial and supply chains, the FDD platform under IBI uses industrial internet as the core link to continuously expand its global business layout and deepen international agricultural and industrial ecological cooperation. Recently, IBI Vice President and FDD CEO Yin Haifeng, FDD Singapore E-commerce Co., Ltd. General Manager Wang Qing, and FDD Cross-border Business Department Director Zhang Yi formed a delegation to conduct a multi-day business visit to Sri Lanka. The delegation connected with local government departments, core institutions, and leading enterprises to conduct in-depth consultations on areas such as agricultural modernization, cross-border supply chain construction, and green energy development, precisely building cooperation bridges to enhance the quality and efficiency of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Sri Lanka, and to lay a solid foundation for achieving complementary and win-win industrial resources. President of the Middle East Liaoning General Chamber of Commerce Wang Jinsong, Secretary-General of the Sri Lanka China Economic and Trade Education and Culture Chamber and Chairman of Hemi Group Jerry Adrian, and Director Li Lun of the Investment Committee of the China Software Industry Association participated throughout, jointly promoting the project's implementation in Sri Lanka.
Visit to DIMO Group Signing Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Seek New Chapter in Industry-Finance Coordination
On January 14, the delegation first visited Sri Lanka's diversified leading enterprise DIMO PLC and held a special strategic cooperation meeting with Group Chairman Ranjith Pandithage, CFO Suresh Gooneratne, Water Treatment Sector Head Chaminda Ranawana, and Agriculture Sector Head Priyanga Dematawa. Both parties, based on their respective industrial advantages, exchanged in-depth opinions on key areas such as the promotion of agricultural mechanization, the assurance of high-quality agricultural supply chains, and the expansion of cross-border agricultural trade, reaching multiple strategic consensuses and signing a strategic cooperation agreement on-site, officially opening a new chapter of comprehensive collaborative cooperation.

DIMO Group's business covers ten core areas including agriculture and automobiles, and its full industrial chain layout is highly compatible with FDD's existing business system. This cooperation will fully integrate FDD's industrial internet resources and cross-border supply chain operation capabilities with DIMO's local channels and resource advantages in the Sri Lankan and South Asian markets, achieving efficient coordination in all aspects of agricultural supply, agricultural services, and agricultural product circulation. Both parties will focus on promoting the construction of a cross-border supply chain system for specialty agricultural products such as coconut oil and coconut powder, opening up new space for FDD to deepen the South Asian market and build a regional industrial ecosystem.
Visit to Premium International Company Opening New Channel for Two-way Trade of Agricultural Products between China and Sri Lanka
On the same day, the FDD delegation visited Premium International Company, focusing on core topics such as the two-way circulation of specialty agricultural products, and conducted special negotiations with the company's head Prasantha Kularatna. Both parties, based on the complementary characteristics of the industries in China and Sri Lanka, clarified the two-way trade cooperation path of "going out and bringing in," effectively opening a new channel for China-Sri Lanka trade interconnection. On one hand, leveraging FDD's mature domestic sales network and full-chain supply chain system, high-quality specialty agricultural products such as Sri Lankan pepper, coconut water, and coconut oil will be introduced into the Chinese market, enriching domestic consumer categories and supply scenarios; on the other hand, promoting the precise docking of China's high-quality agricultural products and agricultural technology equipment with Sri Lanka's agricultural development needs, assisting in the upgrade of local agricultural capacity, achieving efficient bilateral resource interconnection and value sharing.

On January 15, the delegation conducted a field visit to the Hambantota China-Sri Lanka Industrial Park, thoroughly investigating the park's port storage facilities, logistics transportation network, and location radiation advantages, and held in-depth consultations with park officials on key topics such as cross-border logistics coordination, storage base construction, and integrated supply chain services. As an important carrier of pragmatic cooperation between China and Sri Lanka under the "Belt and Road" initiative, the Hambantota Industrial Park has unique logistics hub conditions and is a core node for opening up the South Asian regional supply chain and radiating surrounding markets.
The FDD team, combining its mature experience in cross-border supply chain operations, proposed constructive ideas for the integration of park logistics resources and supply chain digital management. Both parties reached a preliminary cooperation intention to jointly build a regional supply chain base within the park and improve the agricultural supply and agricultural product storage and logistics support system, laying an important foundation for the subsequent efficient circulation of China-Sri Lanka cross-border trade, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing supply chain response speed, assisting the implementation and effectiveness of the "Belt and Road" logistics hub construction.
